About Lance

I grew up in an unstable environment and spent years bouncing between jails, detoxes, rehabs, and the rooms of recovery. Since 2007, I was stuck in that cycle — always letting down the people who loved me, and hating the person I’d become.

Eventually, I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. Sick of waking up with no purpose, no direction, and no respect for myself.

When I finally got clean, sober living changed everything for me. That’s where I really found myself — surrounded by peers who understood, in a structured house that gave me the accountability and support I needed. It was there that I realized I wanted to give back. I wanted to show others that no matter how far down you’ve gone, there’s always a way back up.

While I was still living in sober living myself, I started sketching out a business plan on how I could create something better — something bigger — to help more people like me. That’s how Lighthouse Recovery was born: one house, one vision.

Today, Lighthouse has grown into multiple homes serving men and women across Charlotte, helping countless people rebuild their lives. I truly believe God had a bigger plan for me — and my purpose is to carry the message to anyone still suffering:

You are not too far gone. There’s a way out. And we’ll walk it with you.
